Rick A. Hawley was arraigned in Circuit Court Oct. 29 on two counts of Second Degree Sexual Assault.
Deputy Prosecuting Attorney Al Smith said both victims were female and minors. Halwey is held in Little River Jail in lieu of $100,000 bail.
“One of the allegations is alleged to have occurred in July and the other back in June,” Smith revealed.
Hawley has been in custody since Sept. 30, records show.
“The Sheriff’s Office is continuing their investigation into the possibility that there may be other victims and other cases,” Smith said.
Sexual assault in the second degree means there was sexual contact, fondling or touching, according to Smith.
Hawley is scheduled to appear next in court on Feb. 11, 2020. The case has been assigned to Judge Tom Cooper’s court.
