From Staff Reports
The Foreman Gators defeated the Lafayette County Cougars 50 to 0 on Oct. 11 in Stamps.
Coach Adrian Ivory said he was proud of the players.
“I was proud of our kids for going out and executing the game plan and playing hard,” Ivory said.
Senior Robbie Smith was the top scorer of the game with a total of 18 points. Senior Isaac Carver and junior Keontae Ogelsby were close behind with 14 and 10 points respectively. Senior Chandler Green scored 8 points, and junior Shemar Kemp and junior Corbin Coffey each scored 6 points.
Sophomore Dejames Powell led the team in tackles with a total of 10 — four solo and six assists.
“Bubba Kegley was our player of the week, and he played well on both sides of the ball,” Ivory said.
The Gators are still undefeated at 6-0, and the football team has four regular season games left before the playoffs.
“Our goals every week are just to try to be better than we were the week before,” Ivory said.
