“The call came in at 5:48,” Wilton Chief Jimmy Young said.

Little River Sheriff Bobby Walraven said Chase Hinton, 27, of Wilton confessed, and Hinton is currently in custody.

“There were two structures on Waco Street, the old train depot, one structure at the corner of Fourth and Douglas and a house on Texarkana Avenue,” Karen Young said.

The fires stretched across a disconnected corridor on both sides of the railroad tracks. The fires appeared to have different points of origin, although Young declined to confirm that observation Tuesday pending the investigation.
